Mental Health

Acupuncture is an excellent way to relax the body, ensure proper circulation of blood and Qi, and support your nervous system in sending correct signals. When your brain is sending and receiving signals correctly and is properly nourished, your body will operate at its best. This includes the way your organs communicate, proper absorption, nutritional dispersion, and most importantly, releasing the proper amount of hormones that your body needs.

Acupuncture is well known for helping those who struggle with anxiety, depression, PTSD, CPTSD, and chronic stress, because it regulates hormones that your brain releases and helps our brain function to feel more stabilized and in control.

I have really enjoyed my time working with veterans and first responders. Many of these individuals have seen me for CPTSD and one of the things they enjoyed most about acupuncture treatments was that acupuncture was a way for them to feel safe with their body again, without having to retell or relive their experiences. Acupuncture works directly with the nervous system and the brain to rewire disconnections that create depressive episodes, flashbacks and bouts of anxiety. Acupuncture for mental health is a surprisingly non-invasive treatment and patients working to heal their mental health love this about our sessions.
